3 Years Later...A Bio

I have been blocked by 26 letters. For years, I have attempted to write, and only drips and scribbles come out. Maybe a poem or two. A heartfelt letter. Where is the book I was supposed to write? Where are the children’s books I wished to see on the shelves of Barnes and Noble? They don’t exist. Perhaps they never will.

However, I love to read.

Hours upon days upon weeks I will cycle through book after book. Twinges with jealousy when I turn to the last page wondering why I couldn’t do what the author had done. Why was I doomed to be blocked by 26 LETTERS?

So instead of writing, I will read what you write. I will proofread and format your words with the same care I would give to my own. I understand the process to write a sentence, paragraph, and chapter down, edit the heck out of it, and then not even remotely feel like publishing it.

While I have not written the ever-elusive book, I currently write for websites and social media, also manage websites, write for family and friends, proofread medical exams, and emails, and have dabbled in press releases.

The bottom line is I love to write, but I love to read, proofread, format, and edit even more. It’s less work of the heart and more work of my brain. It fulfills me in weird ways that writers find fulfillment.
